Square Enix' latest expansion for their cross-platform MMORPG is now available in Europe and other PAL territories, said the company's recent announcement. Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess (Microsoft Xbox 360, Windows PC) is Square Enix' fourth expansion to Final Fantasy XI and has been up on North American servers for some time now.
Aside from being approximately parallel in versions to the current American version, the PAL version of Wings of the Goddess will also carry the initial package of features from the standard version:
- New combat features: An all-new “Allied Campaign” system will allow players to take part in large-scale battles and explore new special dungeons
- New areas: New settings further expand the vast world of Vana’diel
- Mog House Guests: Players will be able to invite their friends to their Mog Houses, showing their personalised furniture and special items. It is a new way to talk about past adventures and future plans in an entirely customised setting.
- New jobs: Magically-oriented Dancer and martial, close combat Scholar
- New monsters
Square Enix' president and CEO, John Yamamoto, concluded the announcement saying, "Wings of the Goddess provides the latest exciting expansion to Vana’diel with a host of features that ensures Final Fantasy XI continues to evolve and entertain."
