EVE Online receives core engine upgrades - Image 1CCP Games announced today that better things are heading to EVE Online in terms of overall performance efficiency. The MMO video game has reportedly been upgraded to high-level programming language Stackless Python 2.5.

Its internal build system likewise has been upgraded to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. In a nutshell, these changes will provide additional support to the game's current programming infrastructure as well as simplify the programming language to be more effective.

CCP Games CTO Halldor Fannar had these words to say,


We have seen EVE Online grow exponentially as a game in general and in its technical complexity. The 2.5 upgrade of Python allows us to improve the performance of EVE Online and sets a platform for future upgrades that will improve the subscriber experience.


EVE Online expansion, Revelations II, was recently released and has been receiving warm welcome from the time-tested MMO game.
