The year's almost up folks, and the minds behind the Darkfall MMORPG aren't about to let it go to waste. Associate Producer Tasos Flambouras has written up Aventurine's last dev diary of the year, which will cover the swarms of questions the game's community has been abuzz with as of late.

So, what's to be discussed with this segment? For starters, Flambouras explained how they've been tweaking Darkfall's arrow physics. The MMO's arrows are characteristically more realistic than those found in other MMO fare. As Flambouras explained, while its flight physics made it quite the challenge to play as an archer, this also ensures that mastering archery in-game made you a very capable combatant. As Flambouras narrated on one of his own experiences:

It feels great...I was playing around with someone once who happened to be on a wall inside the human capital and my arrow strike knocked him clear off into the moat. You've probably seen arrows sticking out of players in screenshots, but you can't pick them back up if they hit the deck. This is because we don't allow items in Darkfall to be placed on the ground.

That's just a teaser of what's available in the AP's comprehensive diary (accessible via the source link) before a new year begins. We've also managed to pick up a couple of new Darkfall screenshots for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
