It only makes sense that an online game based on some of the world's most famous comic book characters ought to have a story written by a famous comic book writer as well. Geoff Johns, the man whose contributions include DC Comics titles such as Green Lantern, Action Comics, and Justice Society of America, will be writing the story behind SOE's upcoming MMO title, DC Universe Online.

John Blakely, SOE-Austin's Vice President of Development, said that the inclusion of the renowned comic book writer will add even more authenticity to the game. Coupled with comic book artist Jim Lee, DC Universe Online will definitely give fans a lot of exciting new content that they can easily immerse themselves in.

Both Lee and Johns were equally excited taking on this project and were looking forward to the reception the game will receive from players. Fans can definitely expect to see some of their favorite DC heroes and villains make an appearance in the game.

DC Universe Online is set to be released next year for the PC and PlayStation 3.
