Should we even be surprised? Blizzard Entertainment sends out a press wire stating that their World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King title has broken the Day-1 sales record. Oh, but you know, that's no biggie. I mean, they only did it with more than 2.8 million copies sold worldwide in its first 24 hours.Yes, that's how much addicts fans there are in the world for WoW. Because of this staggering amount of buyers who purchased the game on its first day out alone, WotLK now holds the fastest-selling PC game of all time record. It even beat its own predecessor, Burning Crusade, by some 400,000 copies. Mike Morhaime, the business guy behind this behemoth of a gaming company, said, "We're grateful for the incredible support that players around the world have continued to show for World of Warcraft." You're very welcome. He continues, "Wrath of the Lich King contains some of the best content we've created for the game so far, and we look forward to seeing even more players log in to experience it in the days ahead. Okay, now. Just don't forget to take those bathroom breaks, ayt? Oh, you've got adult diapers on? Well... guess you are all set then. Related WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Articles:
