Here's an update concerning Hellgate: London's Flagship Studios: after reports of the studio's apparent demise - mass lay-offs and news of its Korean partner HanbitSoft trying to grab the reins over their MMO - CEO Bill Roper swiftly provided follow up statements concerning the actual state of his company.According to Roper, Flagship Studios did lay off most of its employees, but most of the management and "founding team members" are still working for the studio. He also said that Flagship Studios simply could not sustain its former size, despite of the achievements that they earned during the past five years. As for the developments concerning Hellgate: London, Flagship still has rights over the game but will not accommodate new subscribers, and current subscribers to the game will not be charged for the subscriptions. Does this mean that those who buy a copy of the game starting today will not be able to play Hellgate? Confusing indeed. Do check back for more news. Related news: |
