Hellgate: London Flagship Studios MMORPG - Image 1IAH Games has announced that they will have to wipe "relevant player data" on the Asian Hellgate: London servers. This is being done in order to implement Patch 0 on the local servers.

According to the announcement, this data wipe will occur at 1200hrs (GMT+8) on November 12. The devs gave word that after the patch is implemented, a comprehensive test will be run for around eight hours to ensure there are no further problems.

To compensate players for this loss, players will be getting a full month of free gameplay. It was also mentioned that those who picked up the Collectors Edition of the game will be getting the additional month in addition to the free thirty days included with the video game package.

The CEO and Deputy CEO of the IAHGames flew out to Seoul to discuss the problem with the CEO of HanbitSoft. During the meeting, the CEO of HanbitSoft agreed to provide the free subscription time as compensation. In addition, both parties agreed to provide patches to the Asian server at the same time as U.S. patching times to make sure that it stays up to date.

This is sad news for players who have been building up their characters in Hellgate: London. Hopefully, this problem will not happen again.
