I left the game about a year ago. I won't be going back. though I did visit during the 360 test. that was pretty nice. Everything was still affordable. But the amount of asshats were growing by leaps and bounds.
It was also nice to be able to go to spots where rare items dropped and find nobody there.
If they would have kept that server for 360 users instead of blending us in with the general population then I may have transferred my account. But the thought of camping for weeks in real life to afford food or weapons just didn't appeal to me.

This is definitely not old news. It just happened yesterday. SE's been having quite a few purges recently. I'm eager to see the notorious names among the banlist :P
