Believe it or not...back in October 2005, Jon Jacobs purchased an Asteroid Space Resort for a literal $100,000 in the MMORPG Project Entropia. Well, this expensive item - called Club NEVERDIE - has finally opened in-game in Project Entropia.

Club NEVERDIE was named after Jacobs' own in game Avatar and has made headlines around the world for the high price of the purchase in the real world. Apparently, Jacobs has turned the resort into a venue for "Live Entertainment in Virtual Reality". The multi-talented Jacobs is also the writer and producer of a song played within the Project Entropia universe called "Gamer Chick". I'd love to hear that one.

What does this MMORPG item actually provide gamers? Well, according to the press release, Club NEVERDIE includes a 1000 apartment complex, commercial space ship docking, a themed shopping mall, a mega stadium for championship sporting events, a nightclub with multiple dance floors, a live amphitheater, lounges, and 10 hunting biodomes with individual land management facilities.

In addition the resort features an owner operated PA system for streaming music and video to biodomes and screens/billboards strategically placed throughout the space resort and even a planet side video billboard network located in all major towns and cities.

Unfortunately for us, there is no teleporter available at the resort, so we can travel to and from the resort only by spaceship.
